Ingredients
- 3 T brown sugar
- 1 c graham cracker crumbs
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 t vanilla
- 1 c whipping cream
- 2 egg whites, beaten
- 1 c sugar
- 1⁄2 c milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 T butter, melted
Instructions
- Mix egg yolks, milk and cup sugar, cook in double boiler and add 1 pkg knox gelatin.
- (put knox gelatin and I use milk, just enough to cover and let stand till ready to cook custard. Stir constantly til it boils, let cool.
- When cool but not stiff, add: 2 beaten egg whites, 1 cup of whipping cream beaten, 2 tsp vanilla, pinch of salt(can omit).
For Crust
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs, 3 tbsp brown sugar, 3 tbsp melted butter all mixed together. Sprinkle 1/2 of mixture in bottom of 8x8 square pan, pour in custard, then sprinkle remainder of crumbs on top. Put in cool place to set.
