Instapot, here I come!!

Hey everyone, thought I would take a moment and give you an update on what the Ragland gang has been up to the last few days!!  Seems like we have been like busy little ants storing up for the winter!  Mike has been busy putting up hay.  We bought some off of the guy that is leasing Dad and Mauntie’s pastures, and are greatful for it.  Even with hauling it, we were fortunate to get it at the price we did. Usually our pastures provide all the hay and then some for us to winter out our cattle, not this year.  The lack of rain in our area left our grass crunchy way before it should have and now that we have started getting rain, there isn’t enough growing time to get a second cutting.   But, thank the Lord, it all worked out!  I have been a little slower at real estate than what I am accustomed to but it has been kind of nice for the break so that I can get caught up on a few things around here and have time for a few crafts as well.  I have been busy busy using my new Cricut Maker and have made several gifts with vinyl and heat transfer!!  I love it.  There is no limit to the mischief that my brother and I can get into with this thing!!  I have also been doing some quilting with my SIL Dian.  We are both dangerous when we get to sewing.  It’s fun though.  Just finished up a couple pieces for fall and Halloween.  I’ll post pictures as I get them put up for the holiday.  It’s almost time for Michael, Rich and myself to get our little crafty hats on and make our annual Christmas cards and craft project!!  I’m so excited.  This year is special.  Well, each year is special, but this year it has a sentimental part to it.  As most of you know, Michael and I have been making homemade cards each year for family and friends, and the past few years, Rich, Michael and I have added a craft of some sort to the activities.  Usually it’s some type of Christmas piece to display or ornament.  This year is going to be extra special because we are using 3 of our Aunt Bur’s vanity mirrors and making a Christmas piece.  This will be so special.  I’m excited to do it and will definitely post our pictures.  I’m so lucky to have a brother and BIL that enjoy the same things that I do!!  Crafting, cooking, reading and SHOPPING!!!?  (Little joke there, they know!!)  JK, they are great shoppers and great sports with all my trips out there and our adventures!!  How many of you have brothers that would stand in line for HOURS to get you an autographed book by Martha Stewart, or while out doing their thing, find something they know you would like and snap you a picture and ask you about it?  I’m very blessed for sure, and I know it!  Well, my last thought for today that I will write about is my new Pioneer Woman Instapot!!!  WHO KNEW!!!!  Oh my gosh!!  I had no idea that she had come out with one!!  This ordering all my groceries online and having shipped to home or store and never going in, well……it has its downside!!!!  Convenient, yes, missing out on new stuff, uh YEAH……  ?  Well, anyway, I marched myself right in there and purchased me one!!!  So last night, I cooked my first meal….ribs!  I loved how fast the meal came together,  but I think I needed to have cooked it a little longer.  Going to try something else out tonight.  Who knows what it will be. They even have an app for that!!  Recipes galore!!  What’s best about it, if I’m working or crafting, I can get in a few more hours and still cook a great meal in a very short time.  I’ll keep you posted on the journey and how successful it is!!!  I also have a trip planned in the next few weeks back out to Pawhuska and The Merc!!!  I’ll take pics and share with you my adventure out there as well!!  Til then, enjoy your journey, you have 84600 seconds each day, spend each one doing something you love, you can’t save them up and use them later!!
