Well, I just returned this week from Michael’s house and a quick trip with my friend Sarah, we spent the weekend with Mike and Rich and all went to the Paula Deen live show in Dallas at Fair Park.  We didn’t know what to expect, she is really a comedian.  She didn’t do a lot of cooking, but she was a hoot on stage.  We were surprised with her guest being her husband and her son and neice.  We laughed alot at her, she is really pretty good at comedy.  It was good to get away for a little while and just forget about everything that has happened.  As usual, after the show, Mike and Rich were the loving brothers and took their sissy and adopted sissy on a day of shopping, they are such good sports and always show us a great time.  It is like we have all known each other all our lives.  Sarah and I picked out our bedrooms in the new house.  We are excited for them to get all moved in so that we each have our own room!!!  Their new house is going to be beautiful, but they always have a beautiful home wherever they are.

I don’t think I have posted anything since the delay of the trial.  We are now scheduled for the week after Thanksgiving.  This is all still such a bad dream, and I feel like I can’t wake up from it.  I can’t imagine living the rest of my life without Coady, I just try to make it minute by minute.  I can’t even think what the holidays this year are going to be like, much less the trial being scheduled at that time, it just doesn’t seem possible that he is gone and we are going to have be drug thru the horrors of a trial at one of the most difficult times in our lives, our first holiday without our son.  I pray daily that his murderer will pay for what he has done with his life, I pray that he gets the maximum sentence, but even then it won’t be enough.  Life just doesn’t seem worth the effort when you have lost the reason for your living.  Keep us all in your prayers to survive this tragedy and the aftermath that doesn’t seem to end.

If you haven’t logged onto his site, please do so, it is really a beautiful tribute to such a short life, his future was just beginning.  I hope that when the summer season is over, I will have time to put on more photos on his site, and more recipes here.  I have just been so busy trying to keep the yard and flowers going, and I have failed miserably, but I just don’t have the want to anymore.

Until later….S
