Ingredients
- 1 lg egg, lightly beaten
- 3⁄4 c butter, melted
- 1⁄4 c sugar
- 4 c self-rising flour
- 2 c water, lukewarm
- 1 1⁄4 oz package yeast
Instructions
- Combine yeast and 2 cups water in large bowl; let mixture stand 5 minutes.
- Stir in flour and remaining ingredients until blended.
- Spoon into well-greased cast iron muffin pans or muffin tin, filling two thirds full or into drop biscuit pans filling half full.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until rolls are golden brown.
- Unused batter may be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
